What you wear shapes the story of your session
Picking out outfits can be overwhelming, but don't worry, I've got a few tips to make it easier!
The best place to start is by choosing outfits that feel like you. When you're comfortable and confident in what you're wearing, it shows in your photos. You'll move more naturally, interact with your family with ease, and your gallery will feel genuine and full of real moments.
I always recommend sticking with warm, earthy tones like browns, tans, creams, and other soft neutrals. They photograph beautifully, create a timeless look, and keep the focus right where it belongs... on you and your family.
Linen, cotton, knits and flowy fabrics add depth and movement without being distracting.
Layers, subtle patterns, and delicate accessories add visual interest while keeping things timeless.
Think warm whites, creams, taupes, soft browns, muted tones and Earth tones. These colors photograph beautifully and keep the focus on you.
Avoid bold logos and neon colors. Focus on soft tones and subtle details. This helps keeps the focus on you.

do you have a travel fee?
I’m based in the southwest suburbs of Chicago, and travel fees may apply for locations more than 13 miles from 60455. For sessions in the city of Chicago, parking and travel fees will also apply. Travel fees begin at $50 and vary depending on location.
Do you help with location selection?
Yes! I have a few favorite spots I will recommend, but I'm open to suggestions if you have a specific location or vision in mind.
WHAT if the weather is bad the day of our session?
As your session gets closer, I’ll be keeping an eye on the weather. If it looks like it won’t be in our favor, we’ll decide on the best plan moving forward. If needed, we can absolutely reschedule to a better date.
How long does it take to get our photos?
I know how exciting it is to see your photos, and I’m always just as excited to deliver them! At the same time, I want to make sure every image is carefully edited and true to my work, so you can expect your full gallery within 2–3 weeks of your session.
Can extended family join our session?
My packages are for immediate family only, but extended family can absolutely be added for an additional fee per person. If you’re hoping to include grandparents or other family members, just let me know when booking and I’ll send over a custom quote.
What happens if my kids don’t cooperate??
Kids don’t need to sit still, smile perfectly, or “behave” the whole time for beautiful photos to happen. I keep sessions relaxed and playful so there’s plenty of room for breaks, cuddles, movement, and just letting kids be kids. Some of the sweetest moments come from the in-between, and more often than not, parents leave feeling worried their kids weren’t cooperating and then are surprised by how beautifully everything turned out.
Do you photograph weddings / events??
At this time, I don’t photograph weddings, including both large and civil weddings. Families are really where my heart is, and that’s what I specialize in most. If you’re inquiring about a Catholic baptism, I may be available depending on the date. Baptism coverage begins at $500/hour, not including travel fees.
